Free Quadratic Formula Warm-up Template

Here in Massachusetts we get a February vacation. There's a lot of theories on how this came about, but no one really knows for sure. In any case, right before we left for vacation, we finished up our mini-unit on the Quadratic Formula.

Quadratic Formula quick check template

This is the template I created this year after becoming obsessed with warm up templates. I always emphasize writing down a, b and c because of how it cuts down on errors. The structure of the formula also gives my students trouble, so the "skeleton" formula has been helpful, especially in the first days of learning the formula. Warm up templates have been a real game-changer in my classes. They give my students the repetition they need to be independent and also free up so much of my planning time. I just print a stack and go!

That slide above is part of the Powerpoint I shine on the smart board that goes along with the warm up template. Students transfer the equation onto their template and solve on their own.

Quadratic Formula Pennant

If you're looking for a way to summarize your unit, this Quadratic Formula pennant is a fun way to assess student understanding of the Quadratic Formula while also decorating your classroom with math.
